Chronology of cameras Asaflex

The brand Asaflex was registered on March 15, 1977, and renewed in February 1987, by the Compagnie de Diffusion Internationale et Commerciale (S.A). It was re-registered in February 1988, again for photographic equipment.
Subsequently, the "Gorthex Group" (located at 140 rue de la Pompe, 75016 Paris) simultaneously filed for the trademarks Asaflex and Gorthex on January 23, 1997.

This model is extremely basic. There is no focusing capability. The "Lens made in Japan" simply indicates that the plastic lens was manufactured in Japan, which is a way to enhance the appeal of cameras that have no other selling points.

There is a sliding cover to protect the lens, which also functions as a switch.

The choice of film sensitivity adjusts the shutter speed.
